VOLKS製スーパードルフィーなど40〜60cmのお人形用にあつらえました御守刀です。刀・刀袋・懐紙・お箱・予備の目釘の5点セットになります。
コンセプトモデルとして長らく当ショップに展示しておりましたが、2013年6月、人形用振袖一式と共にYahoo!オークションにてご提供しました。
This very elaborate dagger was made for the Super dollfie and 40〜60cm dolls. These are the five-piece sets of a dagger, a bag, pocket paper, a box, and a spare nail .
Although this product was exhibited at this shop as one concept model for a long time, it was sold with a set of long-sleeved kimono for dolls at Yahoo! Auctions in June, 2013.

御守刀とは、武家に生まれた娘が無病息災であるよう、親から祈りをこめて贈られた刀です。また、嫁ぐ際には嫁入り刀とも呼ばれ、愛する人や家、自身を守る為の嫁入り道具の一つとして欠かせないものでありました。現在でも、和式の婚礼衣装には帯に指した刀袋を見ることが出来ます。

A long time ago, in Japan, Omamori-gatana (prencess dagger) was small sword presented to the daughter born to the samurai family by her parents with a wish in good health. It served as Yomeiri-gatana(Wedding dagger ), when she was married, and was indispensable as one of the bride's household effects in order to protect her husband or family and herself.
In the present age, in the marriage ceremony of Japanese style, we can see a dagger bag put in the belt of the bridal costume.

この「輝夜(かぐや)」は、手入れの容易いステンレス鋼から刀身を削りだし、拵えは桐材を彫刻し、真っ直ぐでしなやかな竹を表現してみました。
蒔絵のモチーフとしてはよく見られる竹ですが、拵え本体の形となるのは珍しいかと思います。何より緑一色の姿は御守刀として多少、本道よりそれるきらいもありますが、ありふれた朱漆ではなく、素直に青竹の色を表現することによって、他に無い趣を求めてみました。重ね塗りの漆は細心の注意を持って磨ぎ上げ、あえて薄い箇所を作り、リアリティーを出しています。

This strange dagger was connected with the oldest old tale "Tale of the Bamboo Cutter" in Japan, and was named "輝夜 (Kaguya)."
The blade was cut out from the stainless steel which is easy to maintain, the sheath and the handle are expressing a straight and pliant bamboo by sculpturing into paulownia.
Although a bamboo is often drawn as a motif of lacquer work, it is new that it is adopted as the form of the main part of a sword. And painting only in green tends to separate from the tradition of dagger. However, by color expression of a green bamboo, it has a rare atmosphere.
The Japanese lacquer of two coats was ground with careful cautions, the thin part of the paint was made intentionally because of a touch of reality.

刀を分解すれば、刀身に彫られた銘をご覧いただくことも出来ます。
